THE KINGS CUP GOLF
TOURNAMENT
SCORING RULES

Dates of Tournament are

Friday August 14, through the 16th, 2026

Current Plan (Still in the Works):

Round 1 — Friday (2-Man Scramble)

Course: 🏌️‍♂️ The Legend (Arnold Palmer design)

The perfect “big opener.” It’s bold, scenic, and challenging — but the scramble format lets teams take on the risk/reward holes without fear.

Great mix of elevation, doglegs, and strategy — and players will love the photo-worthy vistas.

Vibe: Epic start to the weekend — high energy, big drives, big laughs.

Round 2 — Saturday (Best Ball, Stroke Play)

Course: 🦅 Schuss Mountain

A balanced, classic Northern Michigan track.

The front nine is gentle, the back nine ramps up with elevation and tricky greens — perfect for best ball.

Vibe: Competitive but fun. Keeps the momentum strong without punishing anyone.

Round 3 — Sunday (Individual Stroke Play, Handicapped)

Course: 🌄 Summit GC

The most playable and forgiving course — ideal for the final day.

Everyone’s swinging their own ball, so keeping frustration low is key.

Vibe: Relaxed, social finish — good scoring chances, perfect for a comeback story (or a royal collapse).

Alternates / Optional Add-Ons

Cedar River: Save for bonus rounds or extra practice — it’s gorgeous but the hardest course, best enjoyed outside the competition.

Hawk’s Eye: A great wild-card choice — beautiful scenery and solid challenge, could replace Schuss if you want something different on Day 2.
